Learn to put color-energy and capture visual movement in your subjects! Author and artist CAROLINE JASPER is extremely well grounded in color theory. Here she uses her knowledge to manipulate the properties of color to create the visual effect of movement in her favorite subject, water. She begins by showing you the logic behind her color decisions and the benefits of working on a vibrantly colored ground. Caroline shows examples of a variety of color options. She demonstrates how to break up color areas, the proper use of reference photos, how to plan a value scheme and then paints a lively harbor scene. You'll learn information applicable to any opaque medium to add energy to an endless number of subjects.

"I bought your DVD and started watching it yesterday.... I love it! I already ordered my colored gesso and I can't wait to try your techiques! It's very informative and simple for someone like me that paints, but has had no formal training. I can't wait for your next one!                                                                Danielle Chavez

"It is wonderful. To actually see your process from beginning to end is inspiring! I have been having so much fun painting.                    Rita Pacheco
